Join me for an unforgettable scuba diving experience in legendary Guantanamo Bay, Cuba

Hi there! I’m a Divemaster based in Guantanamo Bay, where the rugged coastline meets some of the most unexpectedly beautiful water in the Caribbean. I came here originally as a music teacher, and it was here, far from the typical dive-tourist scene, that my scuba journey began. What started as a weekend escape quickly became something deeper.

To me, music and diving share a surprising number of similarities. Both demand a deep awareness of your body, control of your breath, and a mindful connection with your surroundings. Whether I’m leading a dive group or guiding music students, the goal is the same: to find calm presence in the moment.

One-on-one instruction is where my background as an educator really comes into play. I hold a degree in music education and have spent many years teaching students of all ages and experience levels, which has taught me something important: everyone learns differently, and the best instruction is patient and personal.

All certified recreational divers who arrive in GTMO must conduct an orientation dive and mandatory brief with a certified and insured diver. It is the individual diver's responsibility to adhere to safe diving practices and to maintain proficiency in diving.
The best time to go scuba diving depends on the destination and the specific dive site. In general, the best currents and visibility are found in the early morning.
For a dive, you need essential gear including a mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, BCD, regulator (with alternate air source & submersible pressure gauge), tank, weights, and a dive computer.
Divers need to sign a liability and medical form and submit a copy of their dive certification.
